Im looking for some cheap (free?) ad-rotation software to run text link ads (50 - 100 words) for other cycling related sites on my forums, anyone know of any good cheap / free software that i can use to set this up?

Yes I just installed 2beta3 today and have to say I'm very impressed with it.... I was running the "old" phpAds and it had problems (and an ugly admin section compared to phpAdsNew).

Anyone know how to do ad rotation on phpadsnew? Also, I am having a problem with it. When I ad a banner it doesnt display the image, instead I see a "X".

                Any ideas?

Super simple to install.... just download the zip and put it on your server and extract to somewhere under your web root (ie /phpads).... then mysqladmin create phpads to create the database.... then mysql phpads < all.sql to import the tables... then edit your config.inc.php file for your information.

                      Chris

have you had any luck with the "limiting" feature that prevents the same banner being showed in a rotation? When ever i put anything there i end up with no banner being displayed. I had 2 clients, both with an 88x31 banner and set to display 88x31 banners in two spaces. Sometimes i get both the same, sometimes the two different ones. But when i put the "limit array" type thing into action the second space is always empty.

Anyone had any luck using it?

No I haven't tried that feature... I am just running one banner per page.

ok, thanks. I am trying to set up a system to have 88x31 banners of other sites on my forum pages, so someone with a stargate website for example gets their button on the stargate section. I wanted to set up a group for that section, ie set their keyword to "stargate" and then just rotate the stargate buttons over that area (3 88x31 per page) and then limit it so only 1 identical button came up... no luck though

if anyone does manage to get this to work do tell me. There is also an error in the documentation i think, it says that the text below is appended by default and you have to turn it off in the banner call. In my version i found it the other way round and just edited the function that did this turning it from off by default to on. Just a heads up.
