    Second Branding individual forums

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts/ideas on how to best "second brand" individual forums.

The goal being to give each forums its own sort of branding (all under the same roof, so to speak). So, the Forumhome would be like the umbrella to go to all the different forums, which in turn, each have their own identity (ie: logos, color schemes, even distinct urls, if
    possible).

==> That way one could send someone (via advertising or whathaveyou) to the specific forum and they dont' have to look at the the other forums if they don't want. If they "backout" of the forum...they will, of course, find that there are many other forums and features to look through.

On could always just make a different skin for each forum....
but that seem like only part of the game (and could be rather server intensive, no?)

They would all be tied together by the "global" brand", but have their own abilty to "feel" like their own space. (conceptually... like YAHOO! is the global and YahooUK, YahooAsia etc are all brands and sites "under" the Yahoo banner)

==> seems a waste to make a completely new forum community for a topic if one could make them all into one large umbrella community with each forum having its own Brand appeal.
    (Did that make sense? )

How do people deal with this issue? (or do they at all?)
is this a lost cause? ie: should I just forget and build a complete new forums for each forum topic? (each could be its own vertical "niche").

    thoughts? comments?

Just make a new style for each forum and set it as the default style in forum settings.

Yep, a main style (parent) and then just child styles for the sub-forums. And update the forum manager to override user choice on those forums.

This way you can have a main red design, and a blue sub forum that kind of looks the same. and a yellow sub forum that also looks the same.. (simplified example)

        Please note!

As per our license agreement you may require additional licenses if you make each sub forum appear as if it is a unique forum (no link back to main index.php, hiding links from navbar / footer, and only working from unique urls, etc).

I recommend to double check your individual situation / setup with the http://www.vBulletin.com/go/sales/ vBulletin Sales to get an official word about your specific situation.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
        Working...
