Bootcamp - Macs do Windows, too

    This quote is priceless

Windows running on a Mac is like Windows running on a PC. That means it’ll be subject to the same attacks that plague the Windows world. So be sure to keep it updated with the latest Microsoft Windows security fixes.

I won't install it but it might be interesting for all Mac users that need Windows software.
    That's the end of that!

      *yawn*

      Here we go again....

Macs vs. PC/Windows, Console vs PC, AMD vs Intel, nVidia v. ATI.....

Who needs overpriced eye candy hardware? Not meeeeee

Don't get me wrong, OSX is pretty darn nice, but some of you macboys & girls are a bit extreme, but I guess some PC people are the same way...

        I wuv my mac, *hugs*

Its an iBook but its great for the instant on feature, I only ever reboot it when I'm updating it. For the months in between it just sleeps when I close it.

I dont honestly think if I had an Intel Mac I'd use Windows but if I was using an iMac or Macbook Pro then maybe.

I'm not surprised about this, it seems a decent business move to get people to buy a mac if they know that they can use any application that they want on it.

            I like this better:

            EFI and BIOS

Macs use an ultra-modern industry standard technology called EFI to handle booting. Sadly, Windows XP, and even the upcoming Vista, are stuck in the 1980s with old-fashioned BIOS. But with Boot Camp, the Mac can operate smoothly in both centuries.

Now I just need to wait until the new Intel Powermacs are released and I very well might head back to the mac after 3 or 4 years using only PC's.

MacBook Pro with M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips. Up to 22 hours of battery life. The world’s best laptop display. Now in a new color: Space Black.

Lame name, but it looks like the Intel equivelent of the Power Book.

Power Mac not the Power Book, see http://www.apple.com/powermac/

Though the macbooks are a bit big from what i've heard.

I can't wait for the G5 equivalent, especially if it has dual processors since a dual processor dual core would be sweet.

Well, that's what I get for not reading thoroughly

I'd heard a rumour that the base PowerMac replacement will have quad processors. Come to think of it, they probably mean dual proc. dual core... it kinda bugs me how Steve & company refer to dual core's as dual processors.

Still would be nothing to sneeze at though.

If anything, this is going to hurt Apple. When people buy a PC, they use the operating system that they purchased. For Mac users to use XP, they have to purchase XP, which only gets them one step closer to becoming familiar with Windows XP. I highly doubt that any Mac users out there will take the time or the money to purchase Windows XP.
