    vBulletin 3.5's BEST & WORST:

As per this dicussion, the subject is features. That means you cannot list "great support" or "crappy support" for a best or worst. Other than that, let's roll.

    BEST: Inline post editing.
WORST: No remote linking avatar option.

    BEST: Boolean Search.
WORST: Cannot change post icons per skin! (wtf )

As far as I know, both those things are possible.

See the thumbnail for remote linked avatars.

Having different post icons for different skins is done by creating a new style, then creating a new images directory for that style (containing the alternate images you want), and changing the image paths in Style Manager -> All Style Options.

By remote linking avatars she means that you cannot have an avatar stored elsewhere and called from that website, or so I believe...

You can do this, but it will require code modification

      Best Feature: Plugin Manager
Worst Feature: Lack of Super Moderator Permissions (by default)

And no, Posticons can't be set on a per style basis, as their path is hardcoded in the Post Icon Manager.

Best: Too many to choose from

Best Feature: A working Read-marking system. YAY!

Lacking Features: Style access/viewing permissions | Ability to have 'Private Events' that the user can "Invite" others to.

(Umm...you can't really call a lack of a Feature the Worst feature...perhaps you should ask for 'Best features and Features that should be there').

The remote linking thing has always been our way to stop people abusing the system with 500kb avatars, or having one with proper size dimensions during the check and then change them to a bigger setting.

Then there is the whole, what happens if the server linking to the avatars is down? You get infinite page loading which always annoys me.

The post icon and smiley thing was intentional though we could do with sorting the images for white / black bgs.

Hey Scott, Instead of Jelsoft dictating what you can/can't do, why don't just give the admin the ability to turn it on/off? Why doesn't the admin have any say in this?

                        IPB did it.
                        You can too.

I currently have Avatars uploading into the file system. I would like to see the same feature for signatures. During the upload (like avatars) the dimensions and file size is checked and then discarded or accepted. The signature sits in the file system on the forum then just like the Avatars.

                          *Edit*

Sorry I was replying to someone else but they arn't actually talking to me anyway. Ignore this post

The main problem I can see with Jelsoft adding that to vBulletin is that some vBulletin boards will be slow and if that happens people might blame Jelsoft.

Its not what we can't do its what we won't do.

Also IPB did it so we have to do it too?
