outlook 2000 question

ok just converted over to outlook 2000 but got a problem. When i reply to an email or start a new one, i can't select the account to send the email from in the top panel. Yes i can right click and select it but it is about an extra 4 stages. If anyone who uses outlook 2000 knows how to put it there like in outlook express i would be most grateful. I couldn't find it as an option in any of the preferences/options menus.

arr... thanks that is easier than i thought, still preferred the old way.

One more thing, how do you get rid of the stupid shading out of some options where you have to click the down arrow when you click on a menu option.

that did it for windows but for outlook i had to go

> Tools > Customize and turn off "menus use recently used commands first"

what a lot of lovely extras there are in win2000

My turn.. Some email from people in my inbox show up as blank.. If they resend its still blank.. Any idea on the cause of this?

Sometimes if people forward email from AOL or Prodigy, it will be embedded as an attachment by those companies. Make sure there is no attachment... A paperclip in the header area would signify this behavior while the email will be blank. Some times my mother (AOL) will send me an email and the actual content will be embedded 5 or 6 attachments deep.

Unfortunately that was not the case it would just be blank, viewing the sourve was blank..

If I did a search and manually found that file I was able to see the content, it just wont display in outlook

Did you recently download IE6? This is probably causing the problem. I am currently trying to fix it - will let you know if I find away.

Hmm I have Outlook 2000 and IE6 but have no problems... But then again Outlook 2000 was installed before IE, so maybe if you install IE6 first it messes things up?

Well it only happens from certain people for some reason but what you said might be true.. I guess I can reinstall IE 6.0 ??
