Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PlayStation 2)

What are everyone's thoughts on this game?
I thought it was alright, but a little over-hyped...

i just think is great. i replay a 2nd time now, trying to achieve a better result.

I love it, buamhaha. I got it for PC, and it kicks ass. Infact, if you tune into my webcam/desktop cam, you can see me play the game. :-D

I got all of the GTA series.. 3, 4 and 5 on PS2, the rest on PC

I like it very much but I didn't finish San Andreas yet. The missions are too hard for me because Iam one of those who'd like to have everything right from the start
            That's the end of that!

I loved it, playing the story for the second time. I finished up all the side missions not to long ago but did not get 100% because I cheated for weponds early on.

I love the series. I thought GTA3 was "revolutionary" but got really boring after a while. San Andreas is just very varied and has so much to do and each area is so different. It's really quite amazing the kind of stuff they've been able to do (how many developers can claim they have a game with the biggest map ever made?)

I just wish flying were easier on the pc (damn you Zero!)

                    MGM out

Hm. Completed on PS2. Playing it on PC right now, but I think the controls suck on the pc if you don't got a controller.

There's an adapter that allows you to use your PS2 controller on your PC via USB.. I got mine from Saturn - a worthwile investment

                        It was only 12,99 EUR

Have you tried out GTA:SA PC with a PS2 controller? Does it play better as I hate the role of the mouse as I keep making my player look up or down when trying to turn him around

No not yet.. I got it for PS2 only... I wanted to try out Vicecity PC but the friend who got that game has it lent to somebody right now.

The adapter works well, you can even use Dual Shock

I disagree. As far as shooting and the character are concerned, the pc is vastly superior to the PS2 or Xbox controls. The driving you'll get used to. The flying, though, is another matter entirely.

I do suggest you use the mouse/keyboard for shooting segments, as they make things MUCH easier
