    my server HD is gone!!

Well, i was out all day having a good time to come home to what?
as soon as i get on MSN:
    the hosting is down....
so i ask my DC, asnwer? you need to reboot your server, so i asked them and and also asked em to find out why it was down, few mins later....Sent to hardware no video showing on hte monitor.
    so what happens after that?
Your Power blew and the master drive was damaged, we can replace it and try to slavet he old one, So i said yes do that, 30mins later, Your HD has been replaced but your old HD was not detected in server, so i just lost a bunch of my data, my vb forum DB, and my old vb forum dbs(failed communitys) and some clients sites!
and now im trying to setup cpanel again, i set it up to the way it was before it went down, well i did what i think was right, but now i cant update cpanel, "Unexpected end of file CPanelRPM.pm" and something that it cant resolve some crap thing...

    Thats my day for ya...

    Is there insurance for that?
You could maybe sue your host for this lost data and clients sites.

It's usually in the policy of hosts that each customer is responsible for their own backups...

Yes.... always have a backup hard drive...

Mine backups everything each night. So if anything likes this happens again, it can quickly be reinstalled.

A second hard drive is always a must!

I back up every week. I should back up every day though.
