    Is your site your business?

I am wondering how many of you guys just run a site (or more) as your business and don’t have to work or do anything else for a living.

To do so you must be pulling in some mad revenue. So who does it and what kind of site is it?

My site will never be a “business” to make a living. It is just a hobby

Several web designers use websites as their career.

Yeah, I run 2 that are my only source of income. I do pretty good at 1 of them the other I assume will take off within the next year or so.

I wish my job was my bulletin board.

Heck, it's barely a hobby right now.

It's more like a pain in the a--!

But I imagine that some of the more seasoned members of the vB family would empathize with how hard it is to start out on your first time, and claw and scheme and fight to get members...

PS - I run a site that is a community for people in my field of expertise to meet, hang out, discuss without constantly being solicited by do-it-yourselfers for free advice.

Still just a hobby, but a couple of our co-admins will be using the site for their portfolio.

Mines ran as a hobby as it's something I enjoy doing. Paid styles are offered, though that does not really define it as being my primary job. Even if I was making the same amount on the net as I do currently, I still would work at my current job just because of the people and it being too much fun .

My site is my business - but it is non profit making. I also have a full time job.

My site is a full time business in advertising and automotive marketing. Now if I could just get vBulletin more into business, that would be great.

I put in more time and money for my website than I gain from it. It's only a hobby for me, not expecting anything more other than for it to run w/o a glitch.

I use my web hosting business to supplement my income from my disability.
$800.00 a month for 5 people is no money.
