My Mercedes is pretty good, so I have no argument against German cars

Well larger, bitter, ale, stout, etc they are all different things, so you can't really compare un-subjectively.

As for pink elephants that’s what you see when you are drunk and I've been toasted on DT and I can see why its won as many awards as it has.

Just last Saturday I got quite drunk on some excellent Belgian beers... including Delirium, Chimay and Hoegaarden. And yes, the place I go to even serves the beers in their correct glasses (at Monk's, which is just around the corner from my house).

That American crap they call beer is far from it!

I've heard about that place. I might have to make a trip down there some time (ie, some time after 1 month from now ) to check it out. Fortunately, one of my friends live pretty close to there (17th street, though on the other side of the Vine St Expressway).

Oh you should certainly check it out... it's legendary, one of the best places to get a beer in the US. They have a 32 page beer "bible" (menu) and lots of great stuff on tap.

Even their food is fantastic... you can't get better frites, mussels (all cooked in beer) or burger anywhere.

I drink water. Occasionally I will have a soda.

Many foreign beers are readily available in the United States at any supermarket. Personally, I don't drink much "American" stuff as it is disgusting. Not too partial to lagers and pale ale though. I like the dark stuff more.

Anyone can easily make their own beer to fit their needs though. That is what I am doing.

If you are looking for things to do in Vancouver, check with Matt Mickiewicz from SitePoint.com. He lives up that way.

The USA will disarm the instant the rest of the universe disarms, which is not happening anytime soon.

I'm curious, what do you mean by "we?" You didn't pick him, the majority did, which is strange as unless God intervenes, the majority is normally wrong.

It's not like we get to choose who runs, either, we're given a choice between two or three people.

There is always a choice, though it starts at the beginning not the end.
