How many vB licenses do you own?

    Me = 0

Since vB is expensive, I wonder how many licenses you got?!

Edit: Just got my first license. I'm heading right away for my second one.

I have 5 (just picked up the 5th one a day ago). They are fun to collect.

Those people who are serious about their sites and their income from those sites find that the investment of vBulletin is miniscule.

For less than one quarter (25 cents) per day, you can invest in software that has been known to double or triple site traffic practically overnight, even if you already have a forum. This investment can be paid off in as little as one advertising click per day depending on your site's topic and audience.

Really not such a high price to pay when put into perspective.

Discounts start with buying the third one.

Right now I just own one. But I'm planning to buy 2 more.

I have 1 and am going to get another...They aren't expensive compared to the others out there..Only $85.00 a year or $160.00 to own it. The yearly $30.00 members area fee is for updates and so on. It is well worth it if you look at the security and features you get.

Is that's what you say, then why don't you buy a license for me?

I really can't pay that amount of money. I'm poor. I rarely pay for my domains. LOL

Well there are plenty of free forum software to choose from until your income allows you to pay for vBulletin.

When I bought my licence in Feb this year, vB worked out at about £46 for a leased licence, self-install.

Even though my site is not commercial and is a hobby, it was the best move I ever made. The sheer increase in traffic alone that being on vBulletin brought was worth the money.

vBulletin is extremely good value for what you pay. I realise the original poster may not have the cash right now, but a) that doesn't mean vB is expensive, just that he can't afford it, and b) If he is serious about a forum, save up NOW...it's worth it!

                        I own 2 licenses

One leased which expires this month and one owned which I bought last month.
                        That's the end of that!

When mine comes up in Feb, I *hope* to go owned, but if I can't quite afford it, I will go leased for another year.

I don't think owned ones are too expensive, it's just a matter of having the money at the right time. But one way or another, I shall always have my licence!
