He is a shock jock in the United States. Probably the most syndicated show there is though.

They have been working on that site for a month now and it is amazing how far they have gotten in the last week because when I last saw it, it was still vBulletin Blue. I believe they are running it on 2 Quad Xeon Machines with MegaRam.

Kind of helps that he has been in the news the last few days. Just expanded his show to 9 cities, including several markets that had kicked him out in the past and said "You will never work in this town again".

Maybe I should drop them an email and go visit the data center since the site is hosted in Los Angeles.

Hmm, now how do we get a spot on the show to plug it?

                    1100 after an hour...

Can vBulletin accurately tell *NIX server load when it's clustered? It was topping out the load limit of 100 even though the site was moving fine.

It can get the load of the web server you are currently hitting.. Its not 100% accurate.. Getting the database server and the web server combined would be better.. But that would require a hack..

Seems they haven't .htaccess'd the admincp.. Atleast they are running the getnew/gettoday hack from vB.org: http://www.howardstern.com/boards/search.php?do=getnew
That alone can take down a huge forum..

                      1100 though is great

They better be as I'm sure this could round up around 2k users online.. Dual quads can do a lot but they will need to be tuned to make this hum at full speed
