I have started a project "Table-less vBulletin: Extreme CSS"

This is not an April Fool thing.

My goal is that I get completely table free style of vBulletin.
I know that is not easy, but It will be worth it.
    Check it out http://www.skelm.com/forum

A bit of more detail can be available at this post.
Feel free to view page source and fun.
    I'll try CSS's limits.

NOTE. My style applied section: FORUMHOME, FORUMDISPLAY, SHOWTHREAD, USER CP,
NEWTHREAD, POSTREPLY, EDITPOST... that's all. All other templates remain the same.

Many of those pages should not be tableless. Tables should ideally be only used when representing tabular data, and forumdisplay, forumhome, etc. do.

Nice Based on the Firefox theme "Smoke"

Proper XHTML strict isn't about not using tables. Just not using them for presentational purposes. Sorry, but not using a table for say a thread listing is just plain stupid way for more work. Beside that major thing, looks ncie.

I know that the data which suitable for table element should be expressed with Table.
But the spirit of challenge is important I think.

Spirit? To go from a fundamentally wrong way to style pages (tables for layout), to yet another wrong manner (using css for everything)? Sorry, but that's hardly an improvement.

Also on a miscellaneous note you're missing any sort of printer style sheets - which is at least in my opinion one of the more lucrative reasons to use CSS for layout.

Despite that I do have to admit it looks nice.

Yes and only the members list and whos online are tabular data. If makes those tableless, he did say extreme css after all.

I can't wait for tableless templates, is this going to be given away or sold?

I haven't given it a thought that I will sell this style.

I use Mozilla Firefox, and things seem to display just fine. However I've noticed that some of the additional "cool things" disappear when you view with IE.. the mousover shadings are an example of this.

edit: I wish you luck in finishing this template.. I'm very interested a completed version of this skin.

It's a feature. IE does not support ":hover" action except anchor <a> tag.
But you can do something similar this function on IE by changing stylesheet.

I changed the setting, so try it out now.
