By my calculations the vBulletin website has been down for over six hours. How long does it take Jelsoft to upgrade? Usually when I upgrade sites I already have it done and then just FTP the files and I am through... 15 minutes max. Does any one else take this long to upgrade their sites? Are they totally rewriting their site while it's down instead of doing it ahead of time?

The worst part is, that they haven't even upgraded the forums yet... Right now it is just the members area and the main site that they are upgrading... So we dont really know how long it will take upgrade the forums until they actually upgrade them... -
It does seem a bit excessive, but I am sure they have their reasons.Whistle Stopper Political Forums

It is probably taking the most time to get the member area and order system setup right.

i was thinking that creating all the code before uploading, so whe uploading it will take 1 hour tops was what they were going to do. guess they found a problem somewhere or something, or just are making us wait. what about people who want another license. costing yourselves money now aitn you :PUnlike most, I don't think I'm always right, if I'm wrong, CORRECT me.... providing you have some evidenceComment

Since all the code has been updated, I would imagine the lisence databases, etc had to be updated as well to make it more efficient, etc.Comment

Actually the issue is that two of the hamsters powering the server died and so FTP is a little slow right now. They are supposed to shipping in 4 new russian hairy footed hamsters to boost power on the server as we speak.Translations provided by Google.
