Dude, calm down. You asked for people's suggestions and opinions. Not everyone is going to consider your forum beautiful as you probably think.

I agree with Scaramanga_gold though, the colors you chose for the forum are raunchy. You have white, grey/green, bright green, bright blue, and light grey. Those colors do NOT match whatsoever.

Also, take this as a suggestion, before you start fiddling with the templates and editing how the forum looks, you should make sure all the images work (Cause only 1/3 do), and find a color scheme that will look good.

Ed, I'm thinking maybe he found this script. Because why would anyone want to use version 1.1.3 when 1.1.4 is available? Doesn't seem right.

          Regards,
          Fred Salari

Jeez, you really like to piss people off, don't you?
            Ever heard of constructive critisism?

            Didn't think so...

The reason people ask is because 1.1.4 is much better than 1.1.3. My guess is with 1.1.3 your board will get closed down by your free hosting provider for using to many system resources.

It has a better chance of staying alive with 1.1.4.

                        hey,

Well, I took all this as suggestions for the future, and I sort of edited the site bit. I created a logo (you all probably hate knowing you guys...) and I made some other buutons myself like "New Thread" and "Post Reply" kind of buttons. Hope you like it more...;-)
I asked a lot of other graphic designers and they all agreed that my colors matched very well ;-) If you still want to tell me how to live my life and how to answer your questions exactly, feel free to waste your time. I am still looking for deatiled suggestions, not critizism. What do i mean by this? I mean instead of saying "the look is kind of like the defult,
And i really dont like the colors
" tell me how i can improve this...thank you very much.

If you think i am angry in this post, i am not ;-)
                        Thanks in advance,

                          nah Fred, not you

critisism is just another type of suggestion... it suggest what you should change to appeal.

If you don't like our "critisism", then don't post your site here and ask for our opinions.

We just helped you out, basically thats all. The "people" you asked for their opinions and thought your colors were good are probably little boys and girls ages 6-12 that don't know anything about color schemes.

                            Regards,

                              If it was me...

Okay If I was doing the site, I would do the colors differently.

The colors as they are not that bad... Just umm well shocking.

I would use the green lightly or else you are going to scare away your members. Use it for the table head color instead of the category background. Use the dark blue there. Your buttons should still be fine.

Once that is done you need to change the default images in your Fivelinks template. They don't lend themselves well to the current design and colors.

Set your page margins to 0 so the logo fits right up in the corner like it belongs. Once you do this though, you will need to take your content and put it in a table that is centered at about 98% so that there are margins for that.

Finally hide your private forums. If the general membership can't get in then don't even let them see them.

Once you have done all that you can start customizing the small stuff like the redirect and error templates. Change the other templates to fit your site. Make the site your own and make it unique.

For examples, go look at the different forums posted throughout these forums and on the vBulletin Portfolio page. Each site works to make itself as unique as possible. Another example can be seen by going to my testboard. This is a completely fresh installation so it has very little customization in it so far and I have disabled registration. I started on it last night.

Even so you can tell at a glance that it is drastically different from the current in use forums.
