Problems installing a style

I'm trying to install the Tech-Forums style. I have uploaded all the images via ftp and uploaded the styles file to the admin dir, because vB wont let me upload via admin panel from my desktop gives me an error every time.

Anys the styles seems to work, but not on my front page. I can assign it to the forum topics but not the main page. What do i need to do to make it look like Tech-Forums page? with the info at top and the style in gerneral.

Right now im looking at a default style front page with the tech-forums style for the topics of my forum. what am i doing wrong and what can i do to fix it?

This is only my 2nd day owning vB so please go easy

you need to login to your admin control panel and goto the board options , goto User and registration options , scroll down to where it says: Allow Users To Change Styles Select No It good if you only wanna use one style for your vb but if you wanna use more styles then you will have to change that setting back.

Try this.

Admin CP > Styles > Modify > Default > Properties.

Change the Replacement Set and Template Set to your new style.
