File size and dimensions seem ok. One last question before I suggest you remove your hacks. Does the avatar file uploading work with GIF or JPG files?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Ya Know....
The easiest way to upload new avatars is to use your FTP program. Once they are uploaded to your webspace, simply type in the directory into the appropriate Add Avatar form and you can bulk add them all.Translations provided by Google.

no i followed the instructions on the prior page and STILL get the exact error pHAZE_1 had been recieving. my phpinfo page is located here: http://www.crossova.com/forum/phpinfo.php
i tried to UPLOAD the avatar, i chmoded the entire smilies,avatar folder to 777 --- i even chmoded the /images folder to 777! still a negative result.

thats what i did and it worked..
