Electron 2.0 Skin Trouble

Just got vBulletin 5.1.1 and created a temp forum (no users) with Sitebuilder. It wasn't looking the way I wanted so I bought Electron 2.o which is exactly how I want my forum to look.
I followed instructions to install the Electron 2.0 skin but my forum doesn't look anything like the example and it's broken...some links don't wrk and other features are altogether offline.
I realize now that this skin if for vB 4 which may be the issue. When installing I did opt for "ignore style version" when I imported the Electron 2 "vbulletin-style.xml".
I did contact the owner/creator so I'm waiting for a reply. In the meantime any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
