[vB4] Text color and eyes convenience

Just a simple question:

Is the following text color convenient for the eyes?

For what it's worth you might do better with a darker blue eg: #283167

Unfortunately, the text color in the OP is part of a color scheme which also includes Black.
But I am trying to avoid using Black, Blue and shades of Grey for text as they are already common.
Apparently the choice for text readability is quite limited.
#283167 is nice but sadly, it fall outside of the color scheme.

Try inputting your site's primary colour(s) into this app: http://colorschemedesigner.com/ It might help you find a usable complimentary colour for your text.

Incidentally, the use of pure black #000 is generally not a good idea for web design e.g. if you look at the site I linked, it's used only once to provide content focus.

Tried that, it's quite handy for color scheme.
But text color legibility is rather subjective and differ from person to person.
I used this for the OP text and it said "seems good" but I'm not convinced, that's why I posted here.

Yes, you're right about #000000.
Some say #2D2E2E is the best.
Thanks for the input.
