Why vBulletin save the templates in MySQL

    [vB3] Why vBulletin save the templates in MySQL

    Hello

    I had understood that the file system is faster than a SQL query, then it why vBulletin saves the templates in mysql?

    or please correct me in this

    There are a lot of reasons for wanting to store data in mysql, one is ease of use.

    We do not need to make sure that there are folders users to have to write to via the admincp.

    When the software was first developed doing filecalls was considerably worse than using mysql to call the data.

    Though to be completely honest, the query time used to get the templates in mysql is minor and some of the most optmized in the system.
