I finally upgraded one of my forums to 4.0. HOLY CRAP THIS STYLEVAR SYSTEM IS A HUGE STEP BACKWARD.
I am pulling my hairout here. What took me 5 minutes before is now taking me 5 hours, that is way too expensive a cost of ownership. I've got 12 licenses and I'm loathing the thought of upgrading all of them. VB has REALLY dropped the ball here.
According to the less than useful visual dictionary PDF file forummenu stylevars are supposed to be for the little forum menus, inline mod, etc.
But they're not. Mine are showing white on white and the forummenu_background stylevar is showing as dark grey. So obviously that isn't what controls that.
So in a subforum at the top right you have forum tools and whatnot, and it is a drop down menu. What controls that color and background.
Also, the forum homepage, what controls the row colors for the subforum list?
