That is caused by your custom templates, the templates would be the forumhome and forumhome_forumbit_* templates. Its hard to tell you how to remove it without seeing the code

If this a category spacing hack originate from you Zachery it would be forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost, just see the bottom code, some used div to make the space.
