I would like to have the background colour fade from top to bottom, as per image attached. I've seen this on some forums. Can someone please help? I'm sure it should be easy enough.
How to make a gradient background?

I'm not sure if your question is about how to make a gradient graphic or how to turn that graphic into a background.
For the former, you're going to need access to image editing software like Photoshop.
As for the latter, how to make that graphic into a background image, you'll need to learn a little css, but that's easy enough - if you look through the css in the admincp style manager, you'll see the very same thing. For a given div, you just need to define the background - in this case, if it's possible for the page to be longer than the graphic you're using as the background, it's common to define the entire background as the color of the very last pixel of your gradient, and overlay that with the graphic. In code terms, something like this:
Code:#main { background: #fefefe url('http://www.yoursite.com/images/background.gif') center top repeat-x; }

Your not being very clear here. That background you've posted already fades from top to bottom. Plus thats not just a gradient, you've also captured part of the cPanel page with it that is not a gradient.
You need to be much more clear about what you want done, because you've totally lost me.Last edited by MRGTB; Fri 29 May '09, 2:04pm.Comment

This question has been asked several times before here. I answered one recently with this: http://www.enterprisejm.com/gradient.html
