    Testing styles?

How do you guys and gals test new style sets?

I am currently creating a new 'low res' style but I don't want my users to be able to use it until it's finished.

And how do you link to to your forum running under a different style?

    Thanks

i use to use a private 2nd installation for testing but gave up since i'm too lazy to move it over to the working vB

so what i do now is just create a new style set on my working vB and work on it and let members see it while i'm working on it, but i turn it off when i'm not working on it.

members don't change styles unless there's a new one out to check (if you announce it)

    as to liking to styles

    use

    ?styleid=xx

on the end of your forum urls where xx is the style id which you can find out by hovering your mouse over the style or template set and seeing the style id in the browser status window

I also mostly try it "live". Else I try it on my home machine.
