In the near future (couple of months) I will be looking to have a custom vBulletin skin designed. I've searched a couple of times but seem to only be able to find skin sites. I'm looking for a professional designer. Not sure how much the price would be, but I was thinking around 1k USD. Can anyone recommend a good vb designer?

Yea, I've been asking around a few places and can only seem to find vb skin sites. I don't want a vb skin site. I am looking for a professional designer, not a templater. I understand that some of the templaters can do custom designs, but I'd rather purchase from someone who is dedicated to professional/unique/custom designs, not cheap skins.Comment

Well I don't need a templater either, just someone to change the colors, text buttons and logo. Pretty easy stuff. I don't mind the default templates.Comment

I guess this is what the Style Manager and the Graphics Kit are for, Dream! You're spending millions of dollars on a website?!

Well, this has been debatable, but I'm strongly convinced that a web developer must take care of all the HTML & CSS development. Graphic designers should only lend the Photoshop mockups to the developers who would then turn them into real web pages. That being said, customizing a default vB style is really not different than, say, customizing the profile in 3.7. If you can do that, you're perfectly able to change a forum's look without changing the actual templates. You're spending millions of dollars on a website?!

Choosing colors is completely different than editing HTML code though.Comment

My wife is a graphic designer but she's never done anything on vbulletin. Here is her site with sample work. www.lavamundesigns.comComment

Sheldon of vBulletin Skinz and Nicholas of ForumSkin are the most talented vB designers IMO. Both have done great works and work almost entirely only with vBulletin, so their expertise with it is superb. You could find other good designers as well, of course. Check over at vbulletin.org.
I would love to get a skin designed from either one.
Do you have a link to any of their work?Comment
