The look of the main index.php page (and a few others)

In UBB I used to be able to set a table border color so that my table cells were more clearly defined and clean (see here: http://www.extremeforums.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi) and I was wondering how to do this in vb.

I know that ubb just uses a table with a background equal to your "border color" and then they just throw the rest of the tables inside that one with a padding of like 3.

Any way to do this with vb

    ~Chris

    yeah, you use the templates
go into the CP, scroll down, and click edit templates
Its just simple HTML, you just have to figure out which templates are forwhich page, which can sometimes be difficult

Your kidding me....ill have to edit more than one template just to add that border? I have briefly looked thru those templates and they look dangerous.

/me visions himself editing 40 files to make his ubb look the way the old one did

you don't have to edit every template, there aren't any more places to edit than there were in UBB, really. here are some of the ones, related to the old UBB pages
        Ultimate.cgi-forumhome
        forumdisplay.cgi-forumdisplay
        Actual posts-showthreads
etc, it really isn't difficult, much easier than UBB

since you figured it out, would you mind posting which templates you changed?

                    As requested.......

OK you asked for it....here is a list of templates that I edited (and added the black border too) Its not necessary to edit every template, but im real picky and plus i wanted a consistant look all across my forums.

                    Code:
                    deletethread
                    editpost
                    editprofile
                    editthread
                    getinfo
                    getip
                    lostpw
                    mailform
                    memberlist
                    memberlistsearch
                    modifyprofile
                    move
                    newreply
                    newthread
                    postbit
                    postpreview
                    registeradult
                    registercoppa
                    searchintro
                    searchresults
                    sendtofriend
                    showthread
                    signupadult
                    signupcoppa
                    signupverify
                    smiles
                    standarderror
                    See it in action here:

Everything from the smiles page and error pages, to the main page and memberlist has the black border
