We are always looking for additional ways to monetize our site and many media companies have said that making these bigger ad sizes available to advertisers would increase our ad revenue.

I am wondering if any of you are running forums that use skyscraper and/or medium rectangle ad sizes in your layouts. We are using leaderboads and 468x60 banners but I can't seem to get my brain around how to incorporate those other sizes in a design that doesn't look excessively cheezy.

Yes, the default templates are customized to include side columns. This is done using html tables.
