Having said that, I'm frankly so discourraged by the constant complaining these votes generate that I would be in favor of dropping the entire program. Some people always find new ways to ruin what was supposed to be something good.

That gives a gross advantage to vBulletin-centered forums. I'm guessing that a vBulletin centered community with 100 members could kick the snot out of any forum I put forth, even though I have forums with a total of over 30,000 members, but the discussion of those forums does not deal with vB.

I do not know how to rectify that, but it does seem wrong.

I never thought about that, but it's a good point really. Seeing as vBulletin-club is mainly aimed at vBulletin licenced users who could come here and vote for it in mass numbers. Means it kind of throws this into confusion really. As other normal sites not run specificly around vbulletin licenced users will not have loads of members on there site like vBulletin-club who could come here voting in mass to make sure it hits number one spot.

I think that has been well spotted and brought up by JohnScott as a bit of a flaw in these comps.

While I'm glad my original suggestion of restricting votes to members over 30 days is being enforced, I still think post-counts should be taken into consideration. There should be a fair balance.

Steve, this contest is for a period of 60 days. The 30 day rule is usually appropriate for normal contests, wouldn't it better to change the limit for this contest?
