    New Emoticon Set

I'm getting ready to release a free emoticon set that would replace the default vb ones, nothing more. But I'll do them in a few different color schemes.

I'd like feedback before I release them though. The new previews are here...

        As in with horns?
I'm not opposed to making a few extra ones, but it complicates things slightly. See, I plan on aliasing them to dark and light, and doing a few different colors. A devilish one would be specific enough that it would probably look best in red, and not so good in say blue or green.

So it would probably be an odd on smilie, so once these are done, I'll be glad to do add on smilies. It just doesn't seem general enough to warrant inclusion in all colors. Maybe I'm wrong.

I don't know the first thing about graphics, so I'll take your word for it In fact, I have nothing but admiration for people like you who do this AND make the finished product look good!

I doubt you're wrong about the different colours, they do look best in red. I just happen to like them ... they suit my mood a lot of the time and I miss them when I go to other forums and there isn't one *sniff*

              oingo boingo!

Well, I'm glad you like the standard orange smilies. I'd also like to do a few other colors for the same set of smilies. Here is a preview with each smilie a different color. Is there a particular smilie in this preview that has a color scheme would like a whole set done in?
Any suggestions for other colors? Should I do a rainbow set where the smilies are different colors (like the default vb3 ones)?

The darker green color would come in useful for a future forum i have planned

Very cool to have them both with 1 color and with different colors.
I hope the full smilies pack comes with a few animals, a heart, exclamation mark, question mark, and stuff like that and don't forget my cool :\ and :/ smilies :P

Well, Floris, I'm working on having a little site where I make more smilies and such. My plan is to have a request forum, and once I get a few requests, I can go and make some addon smilies to the pack.

This sort of request and fill plan doesn't really work in one thread here. Know what I mean?

You have to click the attachment to see it how it really is, without the red lines.
The resizing of animated gifs doesn't always go perfectly. You can see that this is a fault of ImageMagick if you try your image at the ImageMagick Studio. Still, much better than GD which can't do much with animated GIFs though there is hope from the latest release of GD when it makes it into the PHP source.

                        but this one isn't perfect:

If you examine the frames of this gif, you will find that the frames are all different sizes, some even 1x1.

Your preview gif also contains a 1x1 frame, the second to last frame which might be causing the problem on resize.
