The first vB "medieval skin" ?

Even with all of the fantasy-themed sites, I've never seen a fantasy-theme skin released. Please do not click this link if you want to see another blue & orange / pixelfont style

Fix the issue with the category names and it would be a very good skin. Except for that issue I like it.

Very nice indeed. It's nice to be different, although I do agree with Wayne on the category names.

very nice, just need to fix cat names (as mentioned) and there is a big of a gfx glitch around the quick style chooser in FireFox
Unlike most, I don't think I'm always right, if I'm wrong, CORRECT me.... providing you have some evidence

              Thanks for the good comments.

              >>Fix the issue with the category names and it would be a very good skin.

Can someone explain this, please? Must be something I'm missing-- category names look fine to me-- see attached screenshot. The page checks out as valid XHTML so I'm not sure if there is an error for some people?

It's there in IE as well.. At first it was a glitch, but I liked it and left it that way.. like the page is ripped where the style chooser is.

Looks pretty good but the graphics take ages to load on 56k. Took about 2mins for it all to load

As I said in my email that is a very unique skin. And that is a good thing. I'm on Mac and it looks this way (see attachment) in FireFox and Safari. Probably the two most popular browsers for Mac.

I also checked on my PC and while it was fine in i.e. it was not in Opera....
i.e. just tends to be more forgiving and parse code a little differently.

It truly is a task to get these skins to work on both Mac and PC and cross browser environments. But, if you do you will find you will make your customers happy and sell more of your skins

                  Ok. Hope that helps.

                    Thanks Pank!

I see the problem.. it was annoying to get that to size properly in IE so I'm not surprised it doesn't work in other browsers. I was lax in testing this skin on other browsers, but it was just finished the other day... I used to dread cross browser when it was Netscape 4 / IE 5 etc, today it isn't so bad. I'll fix that non-standard div sizing, shouldn't be a problem.

                    Cheers

Fixed.. took literally about 3 seconds. Now the cat titles stretch the div correctly in other browsers.

ps. Glad I downloaded Firefox.. It's excellent-- reminds me of Opera when it was first released as it shows you how slow and bloated IE really is.

Trying to figure out how to put avatars to the left (otherwise, larger avatars take up a lot of room!)
