    Encoding problems when importing

I'm having some difficulties with my forum encoding.
My database uses utf8, I've uncommented utf8 (at config.php) and I've configured my language to place UTF8 in HTML header (at Edit Settings - language and phrases).

But (in any phrase), when it finds an "special character" (é, ç, ã) the word simply ends.

Ex.: Notification in portuguese is "Notificação". But it only shows "Notifica"

I've looked in DB and found that the word stored is indeed "Notifica", so I guess the problem happened on the importing procedure.

I've also looked the XML file to find any errors, but it seems all ok. The original encoding is ISO-8859-1 . So I used Dreamweaver to convert to UTF-8. I double checked the file after converting and everything is fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
