Keep it as is and make sure it is creating a new language.
Also double check that it doesn't say MASTER LANGUAGE in the xml (I recall updating the file when posting, but if I missed it, please let me know).

If you are stil lhaving trouble with it, feel free to open a ticket.
    Best Regards,
    Andy Huang

I have updated the threads for Blog and PT w/ the latest versions we have available on vb china. Please be sure to do a database backup (at least your language table and other related tables for the specific product) before importing them, in case of any oddities were to occure.
        Best Regards,

The charset is set incorrectly. You must go to Admin CP > Languages & Phrases > Language Manager >[Edit Settings], and set the "HTML Character Set" to "UTF-8" (without the quotes).

                Hi Andy,

Wonder if you could assist me, I am using the latest language file on 3.8.2, i can see the wording in chinese, it displays alright when my forum language is set to chinese. But once i switch to english, the mandarin character that was once visible has turned to unreadable text like this

                好了啦~鳳飛飛

UTF-8 has been set please advice

                Thanks

                  chinese encoding problem

                  Hi vBulletin!
I'm having problems with my chinese forums. I already change the encoding of my DB to utf-8. The language and setting is also set to utf-8. The problem occurs only on the post. The weird part is when I type only those question mark characters it shows fine. And when combined in a sentence it becomes question mark. Please help me. Thanks..
