I am working on adding a Swedish language part to a forum. This will be a dual language forum. I would like to set up another skin, with Swedish language as the default language, and Swedish language buttons.
Is there a way to make this a default language for the skin?Comment

No, there is no function to do that. Languages are global and not forum-based.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

Medlemslista - ÅÄÖ
Hej Anders!
Bra översättning. Värdefullt.
Tänkte höra med dig om du vet hur man förlänger teckentabellen i medlemslistan? Nu sträcker den sig bara till Z...

Vi måste hålla oss till engelska här, annars blir administrationen lite kinkig.
The memberlist as you say only goes to Z, for user names in Swedish that starts with Å or Ä or Ö they will be found under the # in the memberlist.
I did look into that some years ago but forgot about it, haven't found any soloution.

Tack för visad uppskattning.
Yes, you don't want to know how long time it has taken.
I really wouldn't like to think of the hours spent on it either.
And as I have said before: If you find any typos or other things please post them here.

Hi Anders & the rest of the Swedish comunity
Is there anyone that is using (or is planning to use) the blog-module, hence fancying putting in an effort to translate the blog module? I could take part if there is an interest, but I am not experienced enough with vB to organize it.Comment

I don't have any plans to use the blog at the moment.
You don't really need that much experience in vB in order to translate. Good knowledge in the language is way more important.
I have just had the time to upgrade to 3.6.8 and only have a few updated phrases that I need to go over. I will then post my 3.6.8 translation here on vbulletin.com.

Got'ya! I agree it wasn't rocket science once I found the admin pages. Blog translation is now a work in progress. Is there any way to merge this data with for example your translation? If so then you could perhaps qualilty check the work on my forum and then I'll simply send you the XML. If there is a way.Comment

I haven't looked into the blog so I am not sure how it works, but I think that it should be separate language files. If you have a language file with the blog translation and don't have the Blog software you would get a lot of orphan phrases (I think).
But it could be a good idea to look at my translation of the forum and try to get them to use the same words for for the same things, so when one use the blog it will fit nicely together with the forum.
If you want me to help out and check your blog translation I might be able to do that.

Actually, the languages are divided into products, so the blog and project tools have their own section. The project tools doesn't have a whole load of phrases so it only took me about an hour or so to translate. I have the blog installed, but it's a bit on the backburner for now so I haven't checked how much translation needs to be done there. Anyhows, just wanted to say thanks for all the work you've done Anders!Comment
