An easy way to combine Dutch Board with English admin and mod CP ?

My board is gonna be in Dutch, but I prefer to use English for the control panels.

I got the two language packs (US English and Dutch), and I'm thinking of merging / combining them.

Is this possible? Can anyone tell me if there are distinct phrase groups for the board front end and the control panel?

In that case, I'll give it a try!

Anyone can list the use of the different phrase groups?

    Would be great!

    Thx

The Control Panel phrases are for the Admin CP. Just revert or leave these set to English.

      Ehmmmm

      Hi Steve

There are about 50 phrase groups.

I suppose that more than half of them applies to the control panel. Not just the one you mention.

I hope that at least phrase groups are not shared between the board front end and the admin cp.

      Anyone who can help?

The Control Panel phrase groups are the ones.

          Sorry Steve

          I just don't understand ...

In the XML file as well as in the language management in the Admin CP there are lots of phrasetypes that seem to belong to the Admin CP like "Control Panel Global" (of course) but also "Permissions" "Style Tools" "SQL Tools" and so on.

          Or am I really wrong?

Why are you looking at the XML file? You modify phrases in the Admin CP.

              Hi Steve

              Okay

but the same phrase groups appear in the Admin CP.

              So I'm still really stuck...

I recommend you simply offer an English and Dutch languages.
You as an admin can then simply use the English language, but you'd set Dutch to default.
                Best Regards

Or you can just wait for this to be released. With that initiative it finally becomes possible to use a dutch front-end with an english back-end.

                      Hi Grover,

I'm sorry, but by now my need for an English back end combined with a Dutch front end has become nearly non existent

A better Dutch translation is welcome though.

I appreciate the amount of work that Floris has put into it, of course, but I can think of quite a lot of ameliorations.

Are you gonna make your translation available to us?

                      Would be great

There is a hack available at vBulletin.org -> "Different Language for AdminCP".
