This article tells you how to create your Android Application. This is the second step in getting your vBulletin App submitted to Google for Approval.
Note: This is a series of articles describing how to enroll in the Apple and Android developer programs so that you can publish your vBulletin Mobile Apps. These instructions should be followed sequentially in order to limit confusion. The steps are fairly straightforward but can be time consuming and it is easy to lose your place. These instructions are also included in your vBulletin Mobile Suite download in a PDF format for easy printing.
The fields shown in blue are the values you entered into the Mobile Publisher. Please refer to the documentation included in the Mobile Suite download for the value you entered.
- Go to https://market.android.com/publish
- Click Upload Application.
- Upload the Android apk file.
Upload [placeholder-apk-file] bundled with this document.
- Upload screenshots. (Retrieve these from the Mobile Publisher.)
Upload [placeholder-screenshot-images] from the images directory bundled with this document. - Upload High Res Application Icon.
Upload [placeholder-icon-image] from the images directory bundled with this document.
- Write [placeholder-app-name] in the App Name text field.
- Enter the description:
[placeholder-description] - Select Applications for the Application Type.
- Select [placeholder-android-cat] from the Category drop-down.
- Select the Price. If you wish to sell the application, you need to sign up for a Google Merchant Account.
- Select Off for Copy Protection.
- Select the following content rating:
[placeholder-andr-content-rating] - Select locations to make the app available to.
- Enter the following Website: [placeholder-support-url].
- Enter the following in the Email text field: [placeholder-contact-email-address]
- Check off the consent boxes.
- Click “Publish”.
- Your Android application is now published and will be available in a while.
