    Forum Runner FAQ

    What happens with my Forum Runner Account if I Transfer/Sell My vBulletin 4 License?

    Your Forum Runner Account will still be linked to your vBulletin Account. However, vBulletin will automatically remove the forum from the Forum Runner Directory. The new owner of a specific license will have to activate Forum Runner for that license themselves.

    Unlinking Your Forum Runner Account


    To unlink your Forum Runner and vBulletin accounts, click on the username of your Forum Runner account in the License #/URL column. This takes you to a confirmation page. Clicking the button will unlink the two accounts.



    However, your forums will still be listed in the Forum Runner directory. You will need to log in directly to the Forum Runner site in order to make any more changes to your forums....

    To deactivate Forum Runner for a specific license, find the license you want to deactivate in the License Details and Options menu.

    NOTE: Make sure that you’ve enabled the Viglink Affiliate Support option in Your Forum Information.

    To claim your Viglink Revenues, click on the link in the License Options column labelled "Claim Viglink Revenue".


    This takes you to the confirmation page, where you click to continue. The page will take you to the Viglink homepage through an affiliate link. You can either login or create a new account from here that allows you to collect your revenue.

    To edit your Forum Runner Account, click on the link to the right labelled "Edit Forum Account". This will open the Forum Information form, allowing you to make and save all your changes.


    After saving the changes you've made, you will be taken to the Publish Options form. You can choose to change this as well before clicking "Save". If you cancel the changes at this point, none of the changes will be saved.

    Once you have linked your vBulletin and Forum Runner Accounts, you can register it and make it searchable in Forum Runner.


    Regardless of whether or not you’re linking a new account, both forms lead you to a Forum Verification form. The “Forum URL” field should be pre-filled with the address of the install you originally selected. Simply click the "Verify" button to continue if the information is correct.

    First, login to the vBulletin Member's Area using your customer number and password. Once you're in the Member's Read, click on "Home". There is a table listing your License Details and Options on the Screen. Click on the "Activate Forum Runner" link in the "License Options" column.


    This opens the “Create A New Forum Runner Account’ form.
