I've never used it just know its there so i cannot comment on if it works 100% but haven't heard anything bad.....------------------------------------------

Impex worked kinda good for our boards we are on VB4 now from IPB. I kinda miss IPB and our admin will be showing up on these boards or contacting VB directly shortly to discuss the issues....
Our conversion did not go smooth though. We have a few rough spots to sort out. I was shocked and a little depressed. Our members are hangin in there and we appreciate them very much!!! I love our community.
So far I have to rate the conversion tool 5.3/10 for our experience.
We were going to be fully transitioned on 3.12.12 (the admin's cat's birthday) however we hit some snags with the conversion and the server (we needed to change some packages and configs to reflect the new parent company's server config and match it so it had to be re-imaged)... we completed the transition on 4.4.12.Comment

We had problems with sigs, and some avatars, pms were wiped. we still have the backup copy of IPB and we are not gonna sell it we might keep it running, however it's only on a private cloud test server I no longer have access to..
I will have my admin run another conversion and try to restore the PMs... the first two I am not as worried about. Those can be restored by the members themselves, however the PMs are something the members cannot do and some are very mad. I don't blame them.
There are a few others but they could be related to the new server packages... I will confirm before I say anything else to you...
The person that ran this conversion is from the new company and he wasn't the best to talk to :-(
I was not the one that ran the conversion... I will contact the admin and if they need help they will come here. However, things will be different, as we have a new head admin and some of my duties have even changed. I am not too happy about this merger and it sucks.Comment
