    No Index Member Profiles

How can I add the <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> tag to member profile pages?

    Thanks!

I have blocked it via my robots.txt:

    Disallow: /members/or
Disallow: /members.phpOtherwise you can use an condition in your templates, but you have to change it every time you upgrade.

Blocking via robots.txt as explained above is preferable. But if you prefer to add it to your template, edit your MEMBERINFO template.
      Find the line: $headinclude

And put the META tag directly below it.

Template edits don't usually need to be redone during an upgrade unless that template was changed, and being this is for VB 3.8 I don't expect there will be any further upgrades anyway.

Thanks guys! I had that on my robots.txt file, but read that it's preferable to use meta tags (with noindex, follow values) instead of robots.txt so that the pages do not appear in the results, but allows link juice to flow through the page's links and count towards the relevance/popularity of other pages on the site.

Editing the MEMBERINFO template doesn't seem to be changing the member profiles when I 'view source'.

Can I get a link to your forum?

Did you make the edit in ALL your styles?

Did you refresh the profile page after making the edit?

Not sure how I didn't see it the last time, but it's there now. Thanks!
