new thread in forum description space?

hi there, how do i go about getting a new thread link into each forums description, like thy have at www.vbulletin.org ?

Its probably really easy, but i am quite dumb

i tried searching for it, but as u can imagine, searching for "new thread" gave quite a few options lol

    cheers

This might be wrong (because I haven't tried it myself), but in forumhome_forumbit_level2_post add:

    PHP Code:
    [<a href="newthread.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=newthread&forumid=$forum[forumid]">New Thread</a>]
Where you want the link to be...

    Hope it works for you!

Okay a got a question for you guys...

This is the code for the [New Thread] addon:

                  PHP Code:
                  [<a href="newthread.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=newthread&forumid=$forum[forumid]">New Thread</a>]
Now, if I have sections which are locked for the members accept of the admins, I don't wont the [New Thread] to be shown up, and the same is if a section got subsection, I don't won't that either. How can I tell vBB that it has to look for the forumid in order to make the New THread link or not?

                  Thanks for your support

Take a look at https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/show...hreadid=33925, it might be what you're looking for.
