Questions about "Subscribe to this Forum"?

Hello:

I'm running vB 2.3.0 & I was wanting to know what exactly does "Subscribe to this Forum" do, I've read in here that on the older versions of vB it just places a Forum link in the "user cp" is that all it does?

What I'm getting at does it send out e-mails of any kind? If so please tell me what it does?

When I read "Subscribe to this Forum" it makes me think that if I click on it, I will get an e-mail every time someone post on that particular forum. Am I correct?

It doesn't send out any email. All it does is add that forum to your User CP page.

With vB3 this option will allow you to get daily and weekly digests of the posts in that forums.
