The GrandMaster guy is off balance mentally. To value life in any way correlating with money is ludicrous. Our worth is defined by the creator and not by ourselves. Spirit has no monitary value yet it is the lifeblood of humanity.

I think that's way too simplistic -- although greed for money sure has created its share of problems.

The monetary system has enabled the growth and progess that has made life longer and easier for the civilized world. It has cured diseases. It has facilitated opportunity. It has allowed the innovators to create new things and do things never before possible in any other economy.

Money is a tool; nothing more, nothing less. As a hammer can be used to kill as well as to create, so can money.

(But again, I don't think human life can be quantified in monetary terms.)

lol, you guys totally took it the wrong way.
What I perceived this as is not complete reasoning, its the materialistic lifes people live and strive for. You CAN NOT put a number on life, nor can anyone say what life is! The only way to know what life is to live it through death. Ultimatly being mans final lessson.

In my opinion, hes not saying there is a price on a human life, but rather a corralation of materialism that people strive for in life.
