    Fatal error: allowed memory size exhausted (tried to allocate X bytes)

    Hey all, I currently have the latest version, 3.6.9 installed. I noticed after I posted a reply to a thread that a fatal error came up, but ignored it because my post was there after I refreshed.

    However, after I tried to delete a few accidental posts, the same error came up:
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/allknick/public_html/vbulletin/includes/class_dm_user.php on line 1583
    My forums are located at: http://www.allknicks.com/vbulletin/

    I appreciate any and all help in advance.

    Thanks.

    Your PHP does not have enough memory allocated to it to complete this operation. Ask your host to increase the 'memory_limit' variable in php.ini to at least 32M.

    To temporarily up your limits edit your includes/config.php file and add these lines right under the <?php line:

    ini_set('memory_limit', 32 * 1024 * 1024);

          As long as you keep that line there or your host disables it.

            Same problem here. Had 32 already as the default setting. Tried 48, 64, and 96 but nothing worked. Finally 128 took care of the problem. Nothing has changed on my server in quite a while. Very strange.
