How To Change Thread Link Color For Special Forums

I've just upgraded my forums to 3.6.7 and had to revert a number of templates, including the threadbit which had this modification.

Before I break anything, can I just check that I don't have to modify it slightly, as the coding is slightly different in the 3.6.7 template?

    Thanks in advance.

In case that wasn't clear - I was previously using 3.5.x but the code it refers to has changed.

Can someone spell out for me how to do the same thing with the new 3.6.x code, please?

While I'm at it, I'd also like to do this for a secondary group.
For instance, I previously defined all all thread notifications from the admin/mods section to be in one colour; I'd like all threads from hidden/private forums to show in another different colour.
      How might I do that?

      Thanks.

[edit] Actually, If this can be done as a plug-in/product, that'd be even better. I'm only just getting to grips with those but realise that they are easier to manage than code/template edits.

        Tuesday bump?
If you need more info to understand what I'm asking, just let me know.
Is this question better suited to the .org?

I'm mainly asking here, as this is where I originally found it.

I do not have updated instructions for 3.6. Sorry.

Okay. Thank you for letting me know.

I'll have a play myself and in the absence of Jake beating my to it, I'll try and update here with my findings (although I don't think I'm capable of making it a plugin/product just yet ).

Thanks Jose. I more than likely will.
