Greek characters in forum titles cannot display

Hello people. I'm having a problem with my vB installation, version 3.6.4. I've set my database to use the utf8_general_ci collation, as I wanted to have multi-language support. My forum is Greek, and thus, I need the titles of the categories/forums to be of the same language.

When I input a desired title in the forum manager, everything seems ok, except from the result. Take a look at these screenshots:



Can you help with this please? It seems I'm stuck here, I tried altering the content-type of the template in case this was the problem, but with no result.

How does it display in the database directly?

Also, what character set do you have set in your language options?

In the database it displays as:

&# 925;&# 941;&# 945; &# 954;&# 945;&# 953;&# 913;&# 957;&# 945;&# 954;&# 959;&# 953;&# 957;&# 974;&# 963;&# 949;&#

(I added the spaces because vB renders it.)

The language code is set to 'gr' and the HTML charset to 'ISO-8859-7'.

It seems the name is too long, because each character uses 6 bytes.

Try running this query:

ALTER TABLE `forum` CHANGE `title` `title` VARCHAR( 250 ),
CHANGE `title_clean` `title_clean` VARCHAR( 250 );

So basically what I should have done is to change the length of these fields.
