This is a sserver time issue. You need to contact your host and have them fix the time on the server.

The server time was off when those posts were made. vB takes it's time from the server.

Well, it *is* a server problem. Sorry this fact upset you so.

Note: There is a problem with a recent cPanel upgrade. See this thread:

As for solving this, you first need to make sure the server time is correct. After that the only thing you can do to correct the posts with the wrong time is to manually edit the database. You would need to go into phpMyAdmin and modify the dateline column in the affected post and thread tables and enter the unixtimestamp that you want. You can use this online tool to convert dates and times to Unix Timestamps:

Just remember to enter in the GMT values for the date and not the date and time in your specific timezone.

Your host can run the following to fix it.
                    hwclock --hctosys
                    or
                    rdate -s rdate.cpanel.net

when you say the above do i send them that or is there something i can do.........

                    sorry to be a pain

just had a few headaches lol

What would make so many servers change the clocks all at once?
Mine just started to act up as well.

there must be a better way to fix all the messed up threads.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to fix this. Of course, you need to fix the server time first.
