Can't receive Private Messages?

We recently moved our forum to another server & for some reason users are now unable to receive private messages from other users.

Messages can be sent... they go into the sent folder properly.

They just aren't ever received by users.


Any ideas of what might have happened here and what we can do to fix it?

Actually it looks like they are being delivered, but the "unread" indicator under "Welcome $username" isn't changing. Hmm

UPDATE:

This was related to us running PHP5.x on the new server.

When we dropped back to PHP4.x this problem disappeared and the PM system is functioning properly again.

I should note that we are running VB3.5.1 with security patches up to 3.5.5, and that it is possible that this issue on PHP5 was addressed by the VB team in some other minor bug fixes between 3.5.1 and 3.5.5.

If you are having this problem and you can upgrade your VB version, you probably should.
