Expiring Subscriptions not actioned

I have a number of people who have subscribed to additional forums and features on my site using the PayPal subscription system that's built in vB.

This, mostly, works fine but for those who have had their subscriptions setup manually, they are not getting the e-mail advising of their membership drawing to an end and, despite showing up in the 'Completed' list in the Subs Manager, they still retain the access they had as a subscribed user!

Is this a known issue or is there something I've likely not done?


In addition, what scheduled task is it that is supposed to handle all this?

Make sure this code is present in the footer:

Make sure this task is present and running (you might enable logging of the task):

Admin CP -> Scheduled Tasks -> Scheduled Task Manager -> Subscriptions

Also note that processing of expired subscriptions can take up to 24 hours (waiting for the task).

That is included within the footer templates however I've only picked some of these users up 3 months after subscriptions were due to expire.

The Subscriptions job is due to run daily at midnight so not sure why this is happening. Like I said, it appears to only affect those that have had their subscriptions entered manually rather than setup via the automated system within vB.

You don't have any hacks installed?

I will try to get some insight from the devs before I ask you to submit a trouble ticket.

Have a few plugins yes but nothing that's near subscriptions etc.

It doesn't have any bias towards manually or automatically created groups.

The email is sent between the 3rd and 2nd day prior to it expiring. All it checks is for an active subscription in the table, regardless if it was manually added or not.

Have your members checked spam filters etc?

Not so much the mail Scott as the fact that the usergroup doesn't change back for these ones. They retain the additional access given by the subscription.

How did you set it up manually?

Did you change the groups within the user manager at all?

Paid Subscriptions > Subscription Manager > Add User (from dropdown against relevant subscription)
