In reading the messages in the forums here, I have some followup questions and comments -- and am curious if I understand correctly:
Suppose I have subscriptionA set to recurring when someone signs up. I'm not sure what this does other than notify the user that subscriptionA will be recurring (and in some APIs it sets up a recurring payment). So a user pays via some API, my VB site gets notifed that the user payment was accepted, and the user is added to the correct user groups.
But I don't see any recurring flag anywhere in the subscription log. So at the expiration of subscriptionA , what happens? I know there is no new payment (This must be done with the credit card processor), but does the user maintain their user group status? Or does this user need to be added back to the group?
I thought I read here (it could be on .org) that there were also email options about notifying users about subscriptions expiring. For recurring payments I don't want to do this, but for non-recurring it would be nice.
