Some strange things in Who's Online

I was looking at who's online and saw two strange things. Someone has the IP "localhost." What does that mean and how does that happen? Also, why does a guest "view forum" but no indication of which forum he's viewing?

Also, the "who's online" bar sometimes shows more guests than appears in actual "who's online." In other words, on the bar, it'd say 3 guests but "who's online" only shows 2. Why's that?

I don't know. I suspect someone is using a proxy.

I've noticied that on my forum too.

Do you have any of the "use real IP hacks" or something similar. These hacks modify the IPAddress and allow spoofing to occur, hence why by default we dont show it.

It is possible an entry expired prior to viewing the page?
