    SMF conversion / passwords

Yes, the old SMF passwords chestnut!

I've tried to use the password hack on a 3.5.0 test board but didn't seem to work.

My Impex of SMF onto my live 3.5.4 board worked OK, but without passwords. Now I know I can request users to reset passwords, but that's really a last resort.

So, is there any other forum software that will convert an SMF board and password that I can then import into vBulletin? If I'd realised SMF was so damned unique about its password setup, I wouldn't have touched it with a bargepole.

I just tried an SMF > Invision import. That worked OK and imported the passwords fine. So then I imported Invision to vB using Impex, but the passwords don't work again.

      Is that right?!

EDIT: Forget it, just seen IPB passwords don't import either! Oh well, email my users it is!
