    MYSQL PHP Error

"vBulletin 3.5.4 requires that the MySQL functions in PHP be available. Please ask your host to enable this."

I've contacted my host, and there is likely nothing I can do on my side - else it would tell me - but just to check, does anyone know of anything I can do to fix this issue? Or will I just have to wait on my host

Only your host can fix this.

Hmm I have access to the PHP config file, can you advise me on which option I need to enable here?

It means that PHP installed on your hosts server was not compiled with MySQL support, there is nothing you can enable within the config.

THis has been fixed, new error but only found it when editing vbulletin options so far, I've been able to install and setup forum otherwise:

            Invalid SQL:

            SELECT setting.*, settinggroup.grouptitle
            FROM forumsettinggroup AS settinggroup
LEFT JOIN forumsetting AS setting USING(grouptitle)
            WHERE settinggroup.displayorder <> 0
            ORDER BY settinggroup.displayorder, setting.displayorder;

perror 13 means permission denied, you'll need to contact your host again as this is likely another misconfiguration.

The MySQL temporary directroy needs to be set correctly.

Most likely they need to create a /tmp directory on that server and chmod it to 777.

                    Hello,

Try to create it not in your forum directory but at your root /

The /tmp directory is an OS level directory.

See http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/...ary-files.html this is something your host needs to fix.

Yes I know, and they haven't got back to me yet, I was just attempting Machol's suggestion, instead of relying on my host if I could fix it myself.
